Time to introduce a new quilter!

So I found a brand new quilter this week (or rather she found me and left a comment on my blog).
Learning to quilt with a chick on my knee

Kim is a brand new quilter who's got some great starter quilts already on her blog ... and a fabulously named blog, "Learning to quilt with a chicken on my knee" -- how fun is that?!?

Kim's 1st free-motion quilting project
Based on Kim's first two quilts ... I know we're going to see some pretty cool stuff from her and I also know what a great, welcoming community we have here ... so I thought I would give you a chance to stop by, say hello and give her a little encouragement as she starts on this fun (slightly addictive) journey!

Welcome Kim ... and I hope the rest of you are having a great week!

All the best
Lisa

  1. Thanks for bringing her to my attention - I've got to go check this out, if just to find out how the chicken comes into the picture!

  3. I'm both humbled, and wishing I'd cleaned my bedroom carpet before I took that photo - thank you!

  4. Hi Lisa Just wanted to contact you with regards to a photo in an old post of yours. It pictures John - your husband I think? He's in the rain in the hot tub. I would like your permission to use the image for some promotions I'm doing for my showroom in Manchester England. As I'm sure you've heard it rains a lot here! English people don't seem to get that you can use hot tubs in the cold and rain, so I'm trying to get this point across. Your image looks perfect. you can contact me at pauline@cabinsandspas.co.uk Love the quilts - many thanks. Pauline Johnston
