and the quilting is now complete ...
Wow ... and it's only a twin ... not sure what I'll do when I get to the queen top that's 60% complete ... quilting is NOT my favorite part of the process ... hence the fascination with pillows over the past week ... they were actually a diversion ;-)
I did get the pillow sham completed ...
and the cake ...
We have company this weekend ... our neighbors (and best man at our wedding) from when we lived on an little tiny island many moons ago (another story for another day) are coming down from Canada to spend the weekend with us out at the cabin. So no quilting, but lots of fun visiting will be in store for us ... that and a little lemon cake.
Summer is winding down here ... I hope that everyone has a great weekend (and my eastern US readers remain safe and dry).
All the best
Lisa
wow, it looks amazing. as usual. your quilts are always gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt and sham are beautiful and the cake looks delicious! Sounds like a great weekend ahead so enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI like that quilt a lot! I feel your pain on trying to get a queen sized quilt into the harp of a domestic sewing machine (DSM). Sigh. I think I'll be trading one of mine in soon for a DSM with even a slightly larger harp.
ReplyDeletethis quilt is beautiful...i understand about using other projects as distractions. i do it all of the time. i think that might be why i have so many unfinished projects yet i am continually starting others.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt Lisa! And I'm right there with you on the small projects - you need to have a few on the go at any one time!! Danielle x
