Modified Bento Box WIP

It isn't yet my favorite ...

But I often find they aren't at this stage ... this one is for my nieces graduation ... and it's her choice in colors ... I'm hoping that the quilting (meandering) will help soften it a bit.

We're getting ready to get all the hardwoods redone ... so the quilting stuff will need to be put away for a couple of weeks.  ;-(.

Hope all is well with all of you!

All the best

It's gonna be a boy!

Baby boy quilt
Pulled this together last week for a co-worker that's going to be a first time mom in a few weeks ...

The back is comprised of some simple blocks ...

My inspiration was her chosen bedding set.  Hope that the quilt brings out the right blues!

Hope everyone had a productive weekend.

All the best

Yup ... I got a thing for the Market Tote ...

Apple was the 'test' ... that goes to my 80-year-old aunt.

Teal and orange was some old decorator fabric that I had siting in the cabinet (when I first started quilting, I didn't know the difference between decorator fabric and quilting cottons ;-).  That one's for me ... at some point I'll show you the orange raincoat and teal scarf I wear that are a total coincidence ...

Flowered one on the left is for my mom ... big changes going on in her life ... she could use present "just because" right now.

The one you can't see is the one that I already gave away ... yup ... all within a week ... I definitely have a "thing".

Here's the link for the tutorial from Bijou Lovely.

Hope all is well!

Sometimes laying it out is the hardest part ...

My first attempt at a bento box quilt ... I have 14 of the 20 blocks finished, so still an opportunity to add in some more to increase the variety ...

This is for my niece for her graduation present.

There is no doubt about it ... photos can help you see so much that you can't with the naked eye ... like all the white in the middle of the current layout ;-).

Hope all is well with you!
