Shiner was our first English Setter who taught me the value of "stopping to smell the roses" ... or in her case swimming after a duck, chasing a worn-out frisbee, or hunting down the RIGHT stick thrown in the woods.

We should all enjoy life as much as Shiner did ... so I choose to look through Shiner's View ...

Sewing machine's en masse

Update:  it's "Allsaints Spitafields" in Soho on Broadway between Spring and Broome.  Thanks to Cindy @ Handpicked.

From our vacation in NYC last week ... I'm not even sure what the store sold (I think clothing), but wow was it a display that caught my (and everyone else walking by) attention!

The vacation was grand ... I'm  happy to be sleeping in my own bed again ... and my slightly more modern machine got a real work out this weekend !

All the best
Lisa

  1. What a cool wall! And I'm guessing that most of those beautiful old machines still work!!

  2. Sarah - I suspect you are correct! The amazing thing is that there were actually 3 walls - each at least 15' tall including the glass store front. Even my husband was impressed!

  3. That's so cool. I'd love to see it in person. Do you remember where it was?

  4. Glenn - it's somewhere between Spring St and Broome bounded by Mercer and Lafayette ... either on the south or east side of the street, based on the direction I know we were walking ... sorry I can't help more than that. I threw an extra pic on my flickr photo stream too

  5. We have the same display in the All Saints shop in Bath, UK - everytime I walk by I stop to look. They sell clothes!
